FCRCC Spring Knockout Regatta

The FCRCC Spring Knockout Regatta is a blast! We paddle three 200-metre races plus a final fourth “knockout” round. In the knockout, all paddlers race once, with the slowest two teams “knocked out” and sent back to the docks. The remaining teams paddle back to the starting line and race again, with the slowest teams again knocked out. Finally just the top three teams race for gold, silver and bronze.

Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival

This is the big one! This is what The Eh Team has been training for since March. We’ve paddled twice a week in rain and shine, every week since March, AND we have four other regattas under our belts. The Eh Team is fit, trained, and ready for Concord. Over 200 teams from 12 countries will compete in four, 500-metre races, over two days.

The Eh Team enters a mixed team and a women’s team. Last year both teams medalled.

Where to get your paddle shortened

As paddlers progress, their paddle needs change. A perfectly good paddle can become too long. Greg Lamb shortened some of our teammates’ paddles last year and they were very happy with the results. Greg can adjust your Burnwater paddle.
